Mulitalent hydrogen - our Partners:

The EnergyAgency.NRW works on behalf of the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia as an operative platform with broad expertise in the field of energy: from energy research, technical development, demonstration, market launch and energy consultancy to continuous vocational training.

The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen, E-Mobility Network NRW brings together experienced and new players in the field of fuel cell and hydrogen technology to jointly promote the development and market introduction. The network has 450 members and more than 100 project partner from e-mobility.

hydrogen Europe

Hydrogen Europe (formerly known as NEW-IG) is the leading industry association representing almost 100 companies, both large and SMEs, working to make hydrogen energy an everyday reality. Hydrogen Europe partners with the European Commission and the research community to accelerate the market introduction of these clean technologies in the energy and transport sectors.

Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking

The Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH JU) is a unique public private partnership supporting research, technological development and demonstration (RTD) activities in fuel cell and hydrogen energy technologies in Europe. Its aim is to accelerate the market introduction of these technologies, realising their potential as an instrument in achieving a carbon-lean energy system.

Fuel cells, as an efficient conversion technology, and hydrogen, as a clean energy carrier, have a great potential to help fight carbon dioxide emissions, to reduce dependence on hydrocarbons and to contribute to economic growth. The objective of the FCH JU is to bring these benefits to Europeans through a concentrated effort from all sectors.

The three members of the FCH JU are the European Commission, fuel cell and hydrogen industries represented by Hydrogen Europe and the research community represented by Hydrogern Europe Research.

NOW GmbH, National Organisation Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology, is a programme management association of the federal government for sustainable mobility and energy. It is responsible for the coordination and management of the National Innovation Programme Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NIP), the Local Electric Mobility Funding Programme (Förderprogramm Elektromobilität vor Ort) and the Recharging Infrastructure Funding Guideline (Förderrichtlinie Ladeinfrastruktur) of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI).

All three programmes were initiated for market preparation or for accompanying the market introduction of the technologies.  NOW also undertakes so-called cross-sectional tasks, which include international collaborations, communication at the interface of politics, industry and science as well as public relations in order to raise overall awareness of the technologies and products. On behalf of the BMVI, NOW also supports the further development of the Mobility and Fuel Strategy (MKS – Mobilitäts- und Kraftstoffstrategie).
